Drupal 8.0.0-Rc4 on Thursday, November 12, 2015

"Following RC4, we will further restrict the patches we commit to severe bugs or regressions and documentation fixes only, at committer discretion. So, if you have any allowed RC changes underway, plan to complete them by November 12."

Drupal 6 Extended Support Announcement

"Drupal 6 core and modules will transition to unsupported status three months after Drupal 8 is released. "Unsupported status" means the community will not be providing support or patches in the same way we do now."
